1.The game is the most important thing.
2.If referees progress, basketball progresses also.
3.If we don´t know the game we don´t understand the rules.
4.To define an offensive foul in theory is easy, to apply it to a real situation is different matter.
5.Referees officiate and players play. Each have there functions but, respect must be mutual.
6.Every game is important, never lose your concentration and vision.
7.Call the action and never think of the penalty.
8.The rules never change during a game but the players, tactics and emotions do.
9.Basketball is an emotional game, but referees must remain calm.
10.Honesty in officiating earns respect.
11.A good referee is a good communicator.
12.The success and mistakes are for everyone.
13.Officiating experience is not the number of years officiating but how you use what you have learnt in these years.
14.Intervene but don´t interfere.
15.Call what you have seen, not what you think you have seen.
16.The mechanics of officiating are not rules, but a framework to aid or guide for officiating.
17.A good position on the court gives you the best chance to make a good decision.
18.Players and coaches will do what you let them do.
19.Enjoy officiating and not the fee of officiating.
20.Humility is necessary in officiating.
21.If you improve, basketball in Fiba Europe improves.
22.Don´t confuse competivity with competence.......
